Enable WhatsApp Marketing Messages API

What you’ll need:

  • Available on Advanced and Enterprise plans (or during a 14-day trial) for Broadcasts and Salesbot, and on all plans for lead chats.
  • MM API requires a connected ad account. Without it, this feature cannot be enabled.
  • Valid payment method added to your WhatsApp Business account.

Keep in mind:

  • MM API is used exclusively for sending marketing messages. Other message types will be sent via standard WhatsApp messaging.
  • Once MM API is enabled, all other eligible WhatsApp Business accounts in your Meta account will be connected to MM API automatically.

How to enable the Marketing Messages API?

There are two ways to enable the Marketing Messages API:

  • Via the WhatsApp Business integration
  • Via broadcasting

Via the WhatsApp Business integration

  1. Go to Whatsapp Business. Click Connect.

  1. Connect the integration if necessary. Learn how to connect WhatsApp Business to Kommo. In the open modal window, click Get started.

Via broadcasting

  1. Open WhatsApp > Broadcasting. Click New broadcast.

  1. A preset window will open. You can select a preset or click Start from scratch to create a custom broadcast.

  1. Open the Channel section. Click the Get started.

Log into your WhatsApp Business account. The rest of the process will be completed automatically.

Note: The connection process may take some time.

  1. The setup is complete!
