Setting up TikTok Instant Messaging in Kommo

Step 1: Connect your TikTok account

  • In Kommo, go to Settings > Integrations > TikTok Ads Manager > Install.

  • Log in with your TikTok for Business account and grant permissions to link your ads account with Kommo > Click “Manage” in the TikTok Instant Messaging Ads tab.

Step 2: Create an Event set

  • In the TikTok Ads Manager integration widget, open the Instant Messaging Ads tab and click “Add new Event set”.

  • Select your TikTok Ad account and choose the messenger channel where you want to receive messages — WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or TikTok and click Save.

  • This connects your chosen channel to your TikTok Ads account, allowing Kommo to track conversations and send event data back to TikTok.

Step 3: Launch your Instant Messaging ad in TikTok

  • In TikTok Ads Manager, go to “Campaigns” > “Create”.

  • Under Ad Group, select Instant Messaging as the ad format and choose your goal either “Clicks” or “Conversations”.

  • Select your messenger channel: WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or TikTok.

  • Enter your Facebook Page ID or WhatsApp number. Kommo will automatically link it to the Event set you’ve already created.

  • Finish the ad setup (creatives, button) > click “Publish all” to launch.
